What are the Style Secrets of Beatiful Popular Style Icons

Celebrity Hair Styles – Colors

Styles like this are usually love them or hate them but if you want to add a touch of bright color to your hair and are brave enough, why not?
When Rachel McAdams added pink to her blonde hair, opinions were split but Rachel said she added them simply because she wanted to, and that’s all that matters.
Apricot Hair
Seen on – Sienna Miller and Christina Aguilera
Going for a full head of apricot hue would probably be a bit much but both Christina and Sienna made the wise decision to go for just some touches.
This look compliments golden and light blonde shades well, adding a bit of warmth but would have a really bold effect teamed with darker colours.
Get the look with some Clip-in Straight Hair Extensions.

Blue Hair
Seen – After rocking blue wigs on occasion, Katy Perry finally took the plunge and went for the full blue effect in early 2012. Cher Lloyd has also been seen with the colour too.
For Katy’s fab blue hue you can try out a hair dye such as Splat Rebellious Colors Kit or Manic Panic’s Shocking Blue Hair Dye.
Going all-out blue can be a little much, unless you want to wig-out like Katy Perry; but dip-dye looks like Kate Bosworth‘s can be great.
Blue dyes to try out for similar looks are – Special Effects FX Hair Dye in Fish Bowl Blue.
You can also rock a look like Sara Paxton in Aquamarine with some Clip-in Blue Hair Extensions.
The look can also be achieved via hair mascara, a la Julia Stegner (right).
Grey-Lilac Hair
Seen At – The January 2012 Golden Globe Awards
Color – Lilac-Grey over blonde
When Kelly Osbourne first Tweeted a pic of her latest hair shade she said: “not the best pic i know but in the light my hair is about 100 different tones of grey/blue/violet I’m obsessed with it!”
Out at the Golden Globes it most definitely looked a lilac shade – and a very pretty one at that. Just love how the lilac is streaking through her blonde at the back.
If you’re daring enough to try out such a shade for yourself, obviously you’ll have to start out with a blonde base. For the lilac, try out some Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Hair Dye in Mystic Heather – this can be watered down for a lighter shade to suit your taste.

Lilac/Lavender Hair
Seen on – Katy Perry
For Katy’s sweet lilac/pink colour try out Manic Panic’s gorgeous Sweet Heather color hair dye.
To achieve her style, begin by applying some setting lotion to damp hair – this will help the style hold.
Create a slightly off-centre parting and blow-dry smooth using a round brush.
Using a large-barrel curling iron, take large sections of hair at a time and wrap them under and away from the face. You can also achieve the look with large rollers if you prefer.
Brush the style to finish and secure with a mist of hairspray.

Multi Colours
Seen At – The 2010 MTV VMAs
Katy brightened up her usual dark curls with pink, blue and purply temporary highlights.
Get the look with the clip-in streak highlights from – they cost £24.99 for 6, and come in a choice of colors; or Hairdo’s Color POP Human Hair Strips which come in five different shades.

Orange Hair
It’s not a common color for people to go, but you can’t deny, Hayley Williams‘ locks bring a true touch of sunshine to brighten any place.
If you’d love to try Hayley’s color, the vivid orange look is hard to achieve unless applied to bleached blonde hair. To be done properly take a pic to your local colorist who should be able to mix up and apply an exact shade for you.
If your budget is a little less you can still try out the look at home with Agent Orange/Napalm Orange Hair Dye.
Pink Hair
Seen on – Dianna Agron, Rachel McAdams, Nicki Minaj, Coco Rocha, Lauren Conrad, Nicole Richie, and Pink, of course.
Some pink dyes to try out for vivid color –
Manic Panic’s Cotton Candy Pink Hair Dye, should give you this gorgeous look. You can pick how intense you want the color by watering down the dye to suit yourself.
For Perrie Edwards‘ fab pink ombre look, try the Manic Panic Cotton Candy; then let your hair recover for about two weeks before applying Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL Shocking Pink Ultra Brights hair dye (the exact product Perrie used) to the tips – from around ear height to the ends.
Purple Hair
The Colour – Purple
Seen On – Katy Perry
After being blue, Katy made the switch to dark purple.
For a similar purple shade try out Manic Panic’s Puple Haze Hair Dye .
Red Hair
The Color – Rihanna Red
Just before Rihanna first began sporting the red look she had worked up to a half black and half blonde style that the red could be applied to for max color and impact.
Red dyes to try out for Rihanna’s color are –
L’Oreal Feria Multi-Faceted Shimmering Colour, in P76 Pure Spice Power or P67 Scarlet Power.
Or for a less permanent color try L’Oreal’s Casting Creme, in 565 Cherry Red (Cheryl Cole used this color but had a less vivid effect due to her brown hair base).

January Jones Hair Style Guides

Suits – Most face shapes. Square and long should avoid it though.
Color – Golden blonde
Seen At – The 2011 SAG Awards
Frederic Fekkai hairdresser Renato Campora created this elegant up-do for January.
First he applied Frederic Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Styling Whip to her hair while it was wet, Fekkai Coiff Controle Ironless Straightening Balm was also applied to create smoothness.
He parted the hair to the side and blow dried using a round brush.
To accentuate the wave at the front, he used a one inch curling iron, setting the hair into pin curls.
After taking the curls out, he brushed through the hair creating volume and constructing the shape for the style and pinning the hair up at the center of the back her head, revealing the nape of her neck.
To finish, the style was sprayed with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Seen At – The 2010 Golden Globe Awards
Apply some styling mousse or serum to damp hair before blow-drying using a round brush for lift.
Next, gather the hair at the back, leaving the hair at the crown loose instead of being slick and flat.
Pin the hair at the back up into a twisted bun.
Get a length of ribbon in the color you want and cut it to fit. Place at across the front of the head and let the ends meet under the bun. Secure the ribbon in place using some closely-matched hair pins to make cross shape connecting it to the head.
Finish the look with some strong-hold hairspray.

Suits – Most face shapes. Square and long should avoid it though.
Color – Golden blonde
Seen At – The 2009 Golden Globe Awards
January’s hairstylist for the event, Mark Townsend, began by applying mousse to January’s wet hair then blow-dried it.
He created her side-parting and spritzed on some heat protection spray before wrapping sections around a medium-sized curling iron – going up to about eye height.
The curls were pinned to the head to allow them to cool and set.
Once released, he brushed through the curls and finished January’s styles with lacquer spray for extra shine and hold.

Marlene Dietrich Hair Style

Color – A light bleached blonde.
Suits – Long, or oval faces.

To style it wash your hair then leave it until its about 90% dried. Apply some large Velcro rollers to it all. Starting by taking the hair from the top of the head and wrapping it down around the rollers, not up and around.
Once all your hair has been put into rollers, leave it to dry, then when it is completely dry take them out and make a side parting brushing your hair for looser, more free curls all on one side of the head. Finish with a liberal spray of lacquer.
Trivia: It’s said that Marlene demanded Max Factor sprinkle real gold dust onto her hair and wigs so that they would sparkle on film.

Jennifer Lopez Perfumes

Back in 2001, Jennifer announced she was launching her own fragrance – she was one of the first modern celebs to do so, now just about everyone has one – and now Jennifer has 19!
It started with Glow by J Lo which turned into a number of other Glow inspired and named fragrances, plus a few others.
At one time Jennifer was queen of bling and, fitting with that, most of her scents come with a free item you can either keep on the bottle or take off and wear.
Scroll down to take a list through Jennifer’s extensive fragrance list. (Not all are featured.)
Glow by J.Lo – Released 2002
Jennifer’s debut perfume Glow by JLo is the most subtle and sensual scent in her whole range. Fragranced with soft vanilla and musk this is perfectly suited to day or night.
Free with the bottle, shaped like La Guitara, is a JLo charm which can be taken off and added to a bracelet or necklace.
Still – Released 2002
The second perfume of the range, Still, is a feminine and flowery fragrance. Containing a fine mix of soft blossom scents and spicy notes.
A free ring comes free on the neck of this bottle.
Miami Glow – Released 2005
Miami Glow is a fragrance perfectly suited to the summer months, or wearing in the Winter to kindle warm thoughts of sunny times to come. This scent is truly tropical containing notes of passionfruit, coconut, amber, orange flower and vanilla.
The freebie with this perfume is a very fitting anklet, with cute gold flip-flop charms, perfect for a stroll on the beach.
Love at First Glow – Released 2005
The title of sweetest and girliest perfume has to go to this release – Love At Fisrt Glow.
Bursting with the feminine fragrances of Georgia Peach, wild rose and pink jasmine this scent is perfect for getting you noticed on any ocassion. The perfume is sweet and fresh; and is inspired by the magic moment when a girl feels first love.
Along with gorgeous pink bottle, you also get a free J.Lo logo mobile phone charm.
Live – Released 2005
This is a fragrance that certainly suits its name, Live.
Filled with zesty lemon, orange and pineapple scents, which are perfectly balanced with violet, peony and many other ingredients.
Glow After Dark – Released 2006
Another year and another new perfume. Not happy with perfumes for every season of the year, plus more. Jennifer now has a night themed perfume – Glow after dark.
The bottle is just the same as first perfume, except in colors more suited to the night theme. The bottle also has the same J.Lo charm, that can be taken off, this time with dark crystals.
The scent is sheer, floral musk with ingredients including mandarin, white cherry, jasmine, rose, and patchouli.
Deseo – Released 2008
Deseo for Women is a fresh and aqua-marine like combination said to be reminiscent of Jennifer’s lush flower garden.
The fragrance, with its abundant greens and florals comes alive as it radiates floral and woodsy accords. The notes, are a concoction of watery bamboo leaves, garden yuzu, Sicilian bergamot, freesia, star jasmine, pink geranium flower, orange blossom, French mimosa, amber, oak moss, sensual musk, sandalwood, cedar wood, patchouli and mineral accord.
There is no free gift with this scent but the bottle is like a jewel itself: designed to look like an uncut diamond.
The first fragrance for men joined Jennifer’s range with the Deseo line.
The bottle of it was the same but in a darker, almost-black shade. It’s aroma is woody and made up with tobacco leafs and quaiac wood.
Live Platinum – Released Fall 2008
The Freebie After Live, then Live Luxe the next spin-off was Live Platinum with a gorgeous winter themed design just in time for Christmas sales.
The bottle was the same as the original Live but in a glass-like color.
Its scent is a mix of plum and ruby grapefruit, to warm and inspire your snowy days, accompanied with Christmas rose, orange blossom and hint of heliotrope. The base combines vanilla, musk, white cedar wood and amber.
Unlike its two predecessors Live Platinum came with a free gift: a beautiful snowflake.
Sunkissed Glow – Released 2009
Sunkissed glow is in a similar design to Miami Glow and is inspired but the scent of a tropical breeze on a steamy sun drenched beach.
The scent is flowery and fruity with notes of orange blossom, water lilies and passion flowers.
My Glow – Released 2009
After becoming a mother, Jennifer released My Glow in 2009.
It is described as a floral and feminine fragrance that is truly intimate.
It has notes of lavender, peony and musk.
The flacon was a lovely and elegant cherub design.
Blue Glow by J.Lo – Released Spring 2010
One of the freshest scents in Jennifer’s range is the recently released Blue Glow.
For a refreshing watery feel the fragrance has ingredients including water lily, vanilla orchid, sea wood, cedar and mangosteen.
The free gift with this bottle is a silver anklet (not seen in the picture).
Blue Glow is on-line to buy at, it costs $28.99 for a 3.4oz bottle.
Love & Glamour – Released Fall 2010
Love and Glamour is said to be a modern expression of femininity with a ’40s style feel.
The bottle is designed to represents a woman in an evening gown attending a glamorous event such as a red carpet event flaunting red carpet fashion.
Top notes used in the fragrance are Italian mandarin, guava and nectarine pulp; a heart of water lily, coconut orchid, jasmine petals and orange flower absolute, and a drydown of sandalwood, amber and sensual musk.
It will be available from October at Macy’s stores.
L.A. Glow – Released Early 2011
Jennifer’s latest perfume is dedicated to Los Angeles nightlife, inspired by the city that provides endless opportunities to get your magical 15 minutes of fame more than any other city in the world.
It is the scent of vigorous Los Angeles night club scene, where the fun never stops.
It is described as “a feminine and sexy cocktail of juicy fruits and sensual flowers, wrapped in creamy amber that evokes the warmth of LA nights. Top notes are a hot combination of cherry, plum and blackberry. The heart contains seductive essences of jasmine, peony and magnolia, while the perfume base represents a glamorous blend of musk, amber and tropical cream.”
This has the design of the other Glow bottles but takes on a purple hue. The free gift is a glitzy, wearable cocktail ring .
L.A. Glow is available to buy at, and, for UK buyers it’s at theperfumeshop.
Love and Light – Released Summer 2011
Jennifer launched Love and Light on the Home Shopping Network in July 2011 and it will start retailing at Kohls in September.
Jennifer said of this latest addition to her collection: “With Love & Light, I wanted to create a fragrance that was less about the world around you and more about your inner light and your spirit. It’s about how you feel inside, it’s not about your outside world.”
Glowing – Released in 2012
Set for release this year, Jennifer’s latest perfume Glowing is said to be a continuation of first fragrance Glow.
She said: “Glowing is such a clean fragrance…That’s what I’ve always been about. I like soapy, clean smells. This is a very woodsy scent. So it’s not exactly what I created 10 years ago — it’s the evolution of tha.”
So what does it smell like? Jennifer said: “At the essence, it’s still natural, earthy, clean and real, but a little different side of that. It’s the woodsy side of it, which I think is kind of New York-y, darker and sexier.”

Cameron Diaz Hair Styles

Seen at – The 2012 Academy Awards
Creating her Oscars look, Cameron had her hair styled by Lona Viga.
Lona started by blow-drying Cameron’s bob straight.
She then used the Sultra Seductress Curl, Wave & Straight Iron to flip up some random pieces for texture and movement.
Color – Golden Blonde
Suits – Most face shapes
For the 2010 Oscars Cameron opted for an old-Hollywood style hairdo but gave it a fresher more modern look.
Her hairstylist, Loni Vigi used some Liquid Professional Volumizing Catalyst spray before blow-drying to give some volume and oomph. A round brush was also used whilst drying to add some body and bounce.
Once it was almost totally dry the hair was sectioned and curled using large hot rollers.
So Cameron wasn’t left with lots of strong curls or ringlets the hair was brushed through to soften them.
To show of her beautiful strapless gown Cameron’s hair was swept over to one side, and a liberal spritz of L’Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray finished.
Ask for a long, razored cut with graduated, face framing layers, through the front.
To style blow-dry your hair using a round brush, pointing the nozzle down the hair shaft. Bob the layers around your face under slightly. Then for the long layers at the bottom bob a few out but leave some completely straight, for an un-styled look.
Start off with the same cut as above and backcomb your hair at the crown, make a small shed on the left – it doesn’t have to be really neat and straight – and sweep all your hair back into a high pony.
Tie your pony into place using a clear band, or you could just use a section of your own hair to tie it up.
Spray with a light mist of hairspray to keep everything in place and gently tease a few strands out to give a tousled look.
Cameron’s latest look is very dramatic because it’s so different from her usual styles. The rule usually is don’t go more than 3 shades away from your natural colour but there are always exceptions. This look really brings out Cameron’s eyes beautifully.
For the cut ask your hairdresser to give you long layers that graduate around the face.
To style blow dry straight and finish with a shining spray. This look is all about the gloss.

imPRESS Press-on Manicure Nails – Nicole said: “People always ask where I get my manicures and now the secret’s out; they’re imPRESS nails! They’re eays to use and whether I’m in the mood for a plain “gel” effect or something funkier, they last ages and are easy to switch to match outfits.”
MAC Creme Shine Lip Glass
Perfectly Pure Coconut Oil
Stila Convertible Colour, Lip & Cheek – She said she keeps at least one of these in her bag – one in a girly pink color and another in a more bronzed shade.
YSL Dessin Du Regard Waterproof Eye Pencil, in Black Ink, and Patent Leather – She said: “At night I use the black for a smouldering look and for day I use the brown as the effect is much softer. I apply a single line across the lid for a ’50’s feel, or smudge around the lashes for a smoky eye.”
